Why Zimmerman's arrest is another kick to the dead horse of impartial justice.

Sometimes children playing games will come across an outcome that one or more doesn't like, and then they will choose to alter the rules or go outside of the rules of the game to get an adult involved in order to get the RESULT that they want. Because to children, everything seems like a life or death matter. And it doesn't matter that the rules favored someone else today will favor them tomorrow, it just isn't FAIR NOW!

Congratulations whiners, you win. The local police and District Attorney didn't give you the result you wanted so you clamored to the Justice Department, got the President involved, got the Governor and the State Attorney General involved in a matter blown completely out of proportion by a hostile press looking to create news where none existed.

Having worked in government for three administrations now, and seen first hand how investigations unravel, I know that the Florida AG is not seeing anything that the local DA hasn't seen. There is no "new evidence" that is causing the AG's office to prosecute, only as others have noted, that arresting Zimmerman will allow Martin's family to sue him in Civil Courts after the State of Florida loses on Murder 2.

This is how I can tell it is a show trial, Murder 2 is going to be "Casey Anthony" all over again. The jury will let Zimmerman walk and then the civil trial will begin, and like OJ Simpson, Zimmerman will lose in civil trial where "preponderance of evidence" is really a "glorified smear campaign" where Zimmerman's character and reputation are in question, not his actions.

I could tell that the AG is planning to lose this one from the get go based on the minute long lecture on the appeals process for prosecuting attorneys. Seriously, no jury in the world will say that a guy with a busted up nose and bleeding from the back of his skull is going to say that killing the little punk wasn't justified. This case is designed to lose, but it is also designed to last long enough that the whiner community will lose interest in this case and move on to a different "injustice" to clammer about as mindless mobs are prone to do.

Now, if you aren't a whiner, and have more sense than to register as a Democrat in Florida and call 911 before following a suspended thief who is wandering through your neighborhood casing houses. Had Zimmerman NOT called 911 this would be no big deal, because only the forensic analysis of the scene and his injuries would be on trial. Lesson learned? Dialing 911 is probably a bad choice if you can handle it yourself. Better to dial 911 after the bodies are starting to assume ambient temperature.

Since justice is dead, I'd like you to remember the 3 S's.

Shoot, Say you will cooperate after you've talked to an attorney, then Shut the hell up. Then actually call an attorney, hell call two or three, and do your damndest to build a defense before the cops try to crush a confession out of you.

Of course this post bemoaning the fall the the Republic is just one of many, and this isn't a call to action, just a sad commentary on what is our reality.

I thought Florida's law precluded civil action if one was aqquited. In any case Zimmerman already has grounds for an appeal due to the uneven interpretation of the "stand your ground law". I suspect this is a little going away present in case Obamsky loses. They have six and a half months to start and finish a trial before the election I don't think they can do it. In any case this attempt to prevent the inevitable riots by buying time will fail.

I think there isn't a jury anywhere that would let Zimmerman walk, the reason being fear. If I were on that jury, it wouldn't matter what the evidence was, I'd have to convict purely out of fear! I don't want the Blank Panthers coming after me or my family!

For Adobe Walls:

"Stand your ground" only applies when one has the ability to retreat, but chooses to NOT do so. When one is flat on one's back, with an assailant sitting astride your body and slugging away, one does NOT have the ability to escape. This is classic self-defense. Nothing more.

Yes, Anonymous at 6:15 AM. Especially once the judge releases the jurors' names and addresses. Because after all, anonymity is reserved for the Blue Wall and their Masters. Not for Mere Citizens.

Although I do suspect they will insist on seating a jury of Obamas runnin' wild from Corinne Brown's district, just to be sure. The stench is overwhelming.

Alan Dershowitz, on MSNBC of all places, says the indictment is "irresponsible and unethical"...that it's politically motivated and the prosecutor should be held to account for it. He says there is nothing new in it and it doesn't even meet the standard of probable cause.

Thanks to the New Black Panthers we have also established the precedent that one can publicly call for the death of another citizen and even post "Wanted Dead" posters in the area with no consequences.

We have also seen how an ethnicity of Black trumps Hispanic, with the New York Times identifying Mr Zimmerman as "White Latino" due to his white father. Of course the Time also applies this such equally to our President who has a white mother by referring to him as "White African American".

One must wonder if a truly white fellow had shot Mr Zimmerman, would he suddenly be fully Hispanic, with such groups rushing to demand justice, just as the Hispanic group have publicly separated themselves from him in this case.

If we put aside the actual shooting, the identity politics being flogged by those with the worst possible motives are both deplorable and disgusting.

We've also seen now how for half this country the ethnicity of Black trumps the ethnicity of Hispanic, just as for the same group sexuality trumps race, and gender trumps sexuality.

I suppose the idea that we're all equally children of God and everything else really doesn't matter is too radical an idea to contemplate.

The police told Zimmerman to stop and he didn't. He went from standing his ground to becoming a vigilante. He will be found guilty or he will plead to manslaughter. You would think different if this was your son. Also I watched the video's of Zimmerman coming into the police station the first time.....no blood on his face or head. Justice will be served.

Anonymous, wow are you an ignorant fuck.

Point 1. My son doesn't come from a broken home and is much less likely to be suspended from school for possessing stolen property and dime bags. Like me he is more likely to be suspended for standing up for himself.

Point 2. The cops didn't tell Zimmerman shit until after they arrived at the scene. A 911 dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that." If you managed to type your response I'm assuming you were smart enough to read my post, why don't you take your reading skills and read the transcripts, it makes for interesting reading.

Point 3. If you watched the video then clearly you know all, obviously you know more than the police on the scene you should tell me next weeks lotto numbers. We can split it after you pull your head out of your ass.

Point 4. Do you even know what the word "vigilante" means? It means taking revenge for a crime that has happened, such as the rape of your sister. A "neighborhood watch" consists of volunteers who watch their neighborhood. Since Zimmerman had no reason to kill Martin for "revenge" of any sort he cannot be a vigilante you semi literate cocksucker.

Point 5. Do you really think that cops wouldn't let EMT's treat Zimmerman before they hauled him into the station? Are you that freaking dumb? That's a rhetorical question by the way, it means the answer is self evident you sub monkey moron.

If he’s acquitted of the state charges they’ll still get him on something, even if the feds have to make something up! Can’t let that “white” racist killer take the life of an innocent child, the press won’t allow it, and the black raciest won’t either.

Honestly, this whole case is fucked on multiple levels, most notably the aforementioned politicization of the case. For my money though, Zimmerman dicked himself when he went all mopey dopey about how sad he was he had to kill the kid. He should have just shut the fuck up (never mind his stupidity in dialing 911 first. LEOs are nothing but a clean-up service as far as I'm concerned). Like I said, it's fucked on multiple levels.

Anon 6:15AM.....Hey chicken shit. Man the fuck up. You just admitted that you would convict the guy and let him go to prison, regardless of his innocence, because you'd be afraid of the BPs coming after you or your family. Glad to know there are Americans left with such valor and moral fiber. Grow a backbone and develop some intestinal fucking fortitude.

Sadly it seems we are openly being transitioned from rule of law, to rule by men...Again.

AM,
I was going to post a meaty comment but John M beat me to it.
You & he have great sites, it is a small comfort knowing there are great people & great Americans still out there. I would like to nominate Anon 6:15am post as the biggest chickenshit post I have ever read...
Keep up the great work,
