That story about the collapse of the Soviet Union is somewhat different than what I expected. At the time I remember thinking that I expected to see the collapse of the USSR in my lifetime, but was surprised it happened so fast.
That the current regime may be close to collapse is not surprising. When one puts a KGB officer in charge, I sort of expect a ruthless, murderous kleptocracy, and that appears to be what Putin has delivered. They are probably a worse "wild west" or "crony capitalist state" than we are - again, probably. At least over here, reporters aren't mysteriously turning up dead, and dissidents aren't yet dying from multimillion-dollar hits.
okayyyyyyy.........must've missed it. Could not find reference other than yours on the planting of the silencer parts.

hhbill, here is the second paragraph of the linked article. I didn't say "planted evidence" I said "silencer parts" which can include anything from steel plumbing pipe to rubber washers. And all those things are completely legal, unless someone is charging you with "constructive possession" which is lawyer speak for "you're fucked and we are not going to use lube."
Sentenced this week to three years probation and a 100 hours community service for crimes connected to the the aforementioned porn prank, the former IT director for Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems still faces federal charges connected to the guns and homemade silencer supplies cops found when they searched his home for evidence of hacking.
There, I highlighted the pertinent part for you. I understand how you could have missed it, it was hidden there in the second paragraph of the article.
